Monday, September 30, 1935
Mildred got Gene's breakfast & the kids ready for school. Milt doesn't have to work tonight. Mildred washed & I folded the clothes. I've been in bed most all day. Grace came up this evening & ate supper with us.

Kate washed over here today. I sewed, then washed out Roger's clothes. I made 3 quarts of peach preserves. Bob quit school, and went to Camp Verde.

We washed & oh gee what a washing we had & I am tired. Before supper we sprinkled the clothes & had a big box full.

We washed Roger's clothes and a few others. I made Melba a new dress all except the buttons and button holes. Kate washed over here.

We washed and oh boy what a washing we had. Mildred went uptown with Kate and got some groceries. Milt wen on graveyard shift this evening. We sprinkled the clothes before supper.

Milt went on day shift this a.m. I made 2 shirts, 3 bloomers, & 1 pair pillowcases, then got ready to wash. I sprinkled the clothes this evening. I'm too tired to iron.

I put up 7 1/2 quarts of peaches today. I washed Roger's clothes and a few others so I won't have so many tomorrow. Milt went up and got his check and bought some groceries and things.

The girls washed today. Mildred sprinkled the clothes. Mr. Anderson left some apples and corn at Tom Miller's for us. Milt & Ern went up and got the. We had corn for breakfast.

Gene didn't have to work today and we didn't get up till 8 o'clock. The girls washed a few things. I bottled some elderberry juice this evening.

After Milt & Gene went to work I got ready to wash. Lucile came down from Tucker's. Mrs. Tucker is in the hospital. Gee what a washing we did. The girls went up town with Helen. I got thru washing about 10 o'clock & am tired!

I helped Helen do Kate's washing, then I washed for Mrs. Tucker. The girls did most of the ironing then went up town. They ate supper with Vernon & Gladys & Otto. Milt & I went over to Leland & Margaret's this evening.

I washed again & got thru at 11o'clock then I rested a while & went up to see Mrs. Tucker. The girls ironed & I pressed the boys pants. Gene & Bob went down to Grace's. Milt killed a tarantula out in the front yard.

I washed for Mrs. Tucker. Bob & Mildred took the clothes up & it rained & hailed. Milt & Gene went to "First Aid School" at the club house. I ironed & patched.
Tuesday, August 13, 1935
I washed Roger's clothes & a few others. then went up to help Mrs. Tucker. I put up 16 qts. of plums for her & ate lunch then came home. Miller's brot us 4 bags of peaches.

Helen & I washed for Kate. Then I put up 16 qts. of peaches. Milt & Gene went to "School" again tonite. I patched overalls & sewed some then went over to Kate's a while. Mildred & Helen went to the show.
