Sunday, September 1, 1935

Everyone except Don, Roger & I went to S.S.. Milt drove Ern's car. I made hamburger stew & rice pudding. The girls went up to see Gladys. I went down to Bennett's & boy how it did rain. This evening I went down to see Grandma Schnarr.

Monday, August 5, 1935

Dorothy came down & washed. Lucile & I helped her. Mrs. Bennett came by for a few minutes. Mr. Tucker came down & got the clothes for Dorothy. It rained this evening.

Monday, August 12, 1935

I washed for Mrs. Tucker. Bob & Mildred took the clothes up & it rained & hailed. Milt & Gene went to "First Aid School" at the club house. I ironed & patched. 

Saturday, August 24, 1935

It was raining when we got up. We had to move the table. Milt & the boys went up on the hill to school. I put up 11 qts. of pickled peaches & 9 qts fresh peaches.

Friday, August 30, 1935

Helen & I washed for Kate. We got thru about 11 o'clock & I washed Roger's clothes. Mildred went to Grace's. Milt & Neil went fishing then Bob went down. They got 16 fish. It rained hard.

Monday, July 22, 1935

Kate washed over here & helped her, then sewed. It sure rained hard. Milt went up town and got his check. Mildred went up and ordered some groceries.

We had a terrible rain today & a big flood. The water was 18 inches in the basement. Margaret came over this evening, then Maggie came. The kids shot the 22 & the shotgun. I made Bob a sheet & patched 2 shirts. I broke the pulley line.

Sunday, May 12, 1935

Mother's Day! We all went to S. S. & Church and had a nice program. Lucile came over just as we finished dinner. Matilda brot me a piece of cake from Henreketta. Zelda & Mildred went up town. L.D. & Cecil came & the kids went up town and came home in the rain!.

Monday, February 4, 1935

It has been trying to rain all day & has sure been disagreeable. I sewed a while. David went up town & got a letter from Bro. Bigelow.  Chet & Reen, Mildred & Kate went to Humboldt. I kept Kate's children.

Thursday, February 7, 1935

It is still raining. We haven't been able to wash yet. There is mud, mud everywhere. Reen & Chet went down to stay all night with Mr. & Mrs. Wiggins.
