Sunday, September 22, 1935

Milt drove Maggie's car to church. Mildred & the boys went. Bob & I got dinner. We had chicken, sweet spuds & peach dumplings. I went down to see Grandma Schnarr & showed her my pictures. I made cookies for the kid. 

Thursday, September 5, 1935

Milt went down to Cottonwood and to the lake. I went with Ern & Maggie down to Grace's. We got some corn, citrus, and tomatoes. Milt got some corn and chiles. It is 9:15 and Milt and Bob haven't come yet. Dorothy left for Calif. today.

Tuesday, August 6, 1935

I rode up town with Ern. The new missionaries were over at Maggies. Milt & I had an ice cream at Fisher's. Gene & I bought some groceries at Pay n' Take. The kids all went to the show.

Sunday, August 18, 1935

I went to S. S. & Church. Milt drove Maggie's car. Mildred stayed home & got dinner. Maggie & Ern brot some corn & carrots from Grace's.

Saturday, July 13, 1935

We sure had lots of company today. 2 boys, one from Gene's camp. Then Edwin, Walter, Dr. Winkle, Maggie & Kate. Then Lucile came & last Vernon Eddy. He ate supper with us. Gene, Mildred, & Lucile went to Grace's. I put up 22 qts of elderberries.

Friday, July 26, 1935

We didn't have breakfast til about 11 o'clock. Then we washed and sprinkled the clothes. Lucile came up with Maggie & Ern. Vernon and Otto came down. I worked out in the yard.

Sunday, July 28, 1935

The girls went to the picnic with Maggie. Vernon came down & we made ice cream & I made a cake. Otto came down then Gladys & the baby came & they all went up town. I went up to see Mrs. Pernia, a car went over the grade just above Hera's house. A lady was hurt. Ern took her to the hospital.

Monday, July 29, 1935

We had a terrible rain today & a big flood. The water was 18 inches in the basement. Margaret came over this evening, then Maggie came. The kids shot the 22 & the shotgun. I made Bob a sheet & patched 2 shirts. I broke the pulley line.

Sunday, June 2, 1935

Milt nor I didn't go to church but Ern & Maggie came up after me & I went down to practice some songs for Mr. Henel's funeral. I met Lavon Smithson. I used to know her years ago. We came home & then went to the funeral. I met Mrs. Harper there.

Monday June 3, 1935

Milt & I went with Ern & Maggie & the kids up Oak Creek Canyon fishing. They didn't catch any fish but we got some plants & sure had a nice time. We came by the ranch & picked some currants. We got home about 8 o'clock & am sure tired.

Sunday, June 9, 1935

Milt drove Maggie's car to Sunday School & church. All the boys and Mildred & Lassie went. Edith Attchery came after Mildred to work for Mrs. Attchery. Mildred & Lucille went up to see her & Mildred got a job for $5.00 per week.

Sunday, May 5, 1935

I went to church with Ern & Maggie. I taught the Gospel Doctrine class.  Zelda & Bob & I played dominoes.

Monday, May 6, 1935

I rode up town with Ern, Maggie & met Milt & we bought groceries. I bought Mildred some shoes.

Friday, May 10, 1935

I finished my dress and made petticoat then Maggie & I went up to the program & then up at the high school. It was surely nice. We walked home. Milt went on graveyard shift tonight. Gene came in.

Sunday, April 14, 1935

I went to S.S. with Ruby. The Prescott Missionaries were over. Otto came down & ate dinner with us. Mildred & Lucile went to the "Castles" with Ern & Maggie. Clarence & Ruby came over & then John & Ruby & the children came up.

Monday, April 15, 1935

Kate & Mildred went up town & I took Don & went with Ern & Maggie, Clarence & Ruby to the Museum & Toozigoot, then over to Grace's & ate dinner & came home. Ern took me to the hospital to take Roger to the doctor. He said Roger was OK now only needed sunshine.

Friday, April 19, 1935

Maggie's birthday! We washed & the girls went up town. I started the ironing & they finished it while I patched. Gene came this evening & I washed his clothes.

Monday, March 4, 1935

We washed & cleaned up the house & when Milt came home he went to take Grace home so Maggie & I went too. Leland & Margaret's baby died this morning. Roger feels lots better today.

Wednesday, March 6, 1935

I went up town with Ern & Maggie. We went down to the 500. I ordered flowers for the baby's funeral. Milt drove Mrs. Kelly's car & we went to the funeral.  Lucile went down to see Grace. Mildred & Kate went to the show.

Sunday, March 31, 1935

It doesn't seem like Sunday. We had a good dinner. Maggie & Ern came, then Sister Wells, Zavia, & Olivia. About 6 o'clock Roger was real bad. I called Milt & Ern to administer to him & we had a special nurse all night, Mrs. Beewel. She worked with him all night.
