Saturday, June 20, 1935

After Gene went to work I got ready to wash. I was almost finished when we had breakfast. I had to iron Milt's shirts so he could wear it to work so we ironed nearly all the clothes. I make a cake for Loreen's birthday hoping she'll come down. We killed the rooster. Willie Mae & Buck came.

I made a cake for baby Lee's birthday & the kids went over there for a party. I took Roger over awhile. Bob worked for Mrs. Weart. Just as we got home it began to rain & oh boy what a rain.

Sunday, May 19, 1935

My Birthday! We went to Sunday School. Milt drove Ern's car. I rode with Chet & Reen. They went home & I rode home with Mr. & Mrs. Hall. I spoke in church. Pres. Call & Pres. Barlow were there. Milt went to work on afternoon shift.

Friday, April 19, 1935

Maggie's birthday! We washed & the girls went up town. I started the ironing & they finished it while I patched. Gene came this evening & I washed his clothes.

Saturday, April 20, 1935

Bob's birthday! Edwin came after us & we all went down to Grace's & had an Easter picnic. I rode with Ern. We sure had a good time. Gilbert came up with us to stay all night. He & Gene went to the show.

Monday, April 22, 1935

Neil's birthday! Mildred & I worked in the yard then Milt & I went up town and got some groceries. I got a letter from Willie Mae. I made Bob, Neil, & Pauline each a cake & put candles on them.

Tuesday, March 19, 1935

Today is Phil's & Roger's birthdays. I made a cake for each of them, put 13 candles on Phil's and 1 on Roger's. After Milt went to work I sewed a while & patched overalls. It has tried to storm all day.

Thursday, March 21, 1935

It has been cold nearly all day, I worked in the flower yard. Today is Rosalie's birthday. I made a cake for her. Milt went out and set 12 traps. Mildred went up town & send off the furs.

Monday, February 25, 1935

I phoned to Zella this a.m. she said the funeral would be at 2:30. I helped the boys work out in the yard. Today is Mildred's birthday. Milt got her a pair of shoes for her birthday present. Don feels lots better.

Wednesday, January 23, 1935

Lawrence went home today after Milt went to work. I scrubbed the floors then got supper. David & Asenith went down to see Grandma Schnarr. Today is Melba's birthday. I made a cake for her.
