Thursday, August 1, 1935
After Milt & Gene went to work I got ready to wash. Lucile came down from Tucker's. Mrs. Tucker is in the hospital. Gee what a washing we did. The girls went up town with Helen. I got thru washing about 10 o'clock & am tired!

Friday, August 2, 1935
I helped Helen do Kate's washing, then I washed for Mrs. Tucker. The girls did most of the ironing then went up town. They ate supper with Vernon & Gladys & Otto. Milt & I went over to Leland & Margaret's this evening.
Saturday, August 3, 1935
I washed again & got thru at 11o'clock then I rested a while & went up to see Mrs. Tucker. The girls ironed & I pressed the boys pants. Gene & Bob went down to Grace's. Milt killed a tarantula out in the front yard.

Mildred & the boys went to S.S. Lucile came down from the Tucker's. Milt & I went up to see Sister Wells & stopped to see Mrs. Tucker & Dorothy. Then Kate got her new boy. I put up 6 qts. of peaches.

I washed Roger's clothes & a few others. then went up to help Mrs. Tucker. I put up 16 qts. of plums for her & ate lunch then came home. Miller's brot us 4 bags of peaches.

Helen & I washed for Kate. Then I put up 16 qts. of peaches. Milt & Gene went to "School" again tonite. I patched overalls & sewed some then went over to Kate's a while. Mildred & Helen went to the show.
Thursday, August 15, 1935
I put up 8 qts of peaches & went down to Grandma Schnarr's. I patched some things for Kate & went over to Mrs. Kelly's. I fixed her slacks for her. Milt went on graveyard shift tonite. I scrubbed the dining room.

I went to S. S. & Church. Milt drove Maggie's car. Mildred stayed home & got dinner. Maggie & Ern brot some corn & carrots from Grace's.

After Gene went to work I sewed on my dress then got breakfast & got ready to wash. I got thru about 12:30. After I got thru I sewed. I made Lassie a dress.
Wednesday, August 21, 1935
We ironed this a.m. Bob & Mildred went up town after dinner. Milt & I walked up town. We rode home with Packard's. Gene & Milt went to "School" I went up to Dot's & Mrs. Johnson's. Mildred & Lassie wen up to the show.

Mildred went over to Humboldt with Helen. I went down to Grandma Schnarr's this a.m. We bot some peaches & apples form Fred Bergman. Milt & I went over to Kate's this evening.

I washed for Kate & did our washing too. We bought Dot's buffet & cooler. Milt brot the cooler down & fixed it so we can use it. Bob White brot the buffet down. I am sure tired tonight.

It was raining when we got up. We had to move the table. Milt & the boys went up on the hill to school. I put up 11 qts. of pickled peaches & 9 qts fresh peaches.

I didn't go to S.S. today. I felt too bum. Milt & the kids went, all but Bob. He helped me get dinner. After dinner Milt played horseshoes a while & went over to the tunnel to sleep.

We washed & then sprinkled the clothes & ironed this evening. It has been stormy all day. I went up town this a.m. I went down to Grandma Schnarr's.
