Kate washed over here today. I sewed, then washed out Roger's clothes. I made 3 quarts of peach preserves. Bob quit school, and went to Camp Verde.

I went down to Grandma Schnarr's a while, then came home and put up 3 quarts of apples, and 2 1/2 quarts of chilies. Milt & Neil went up the P.J. Road and got some elderberries. Bob, Gene and Mildred went to the show.

I put up 7 1/2 quarts of peaches today. I washed Roger's clothes and a few others so I won't have so many tomorrow. Milt went up and got his check and bought some groceries and things.

Mildred & the boys went to S.S. Lucile came down from the Tucker's. Milt & I went up to see Sister Wells & stopped to see Mrs. Tucker & Dorothy. Then Kate got her new boy. I put up 6 qts. of peaches.

I washed Roger's clothes & a few others. then went up to help Mrs. Tucker. I put up 16 qts. of plums for her & ate lunch then came home. Miller's brot us 4 bags of peaches.

Helen & I washed for Kate. Then I put up 16 qts. of peaches. Milt & Gene went to "School" again tonite. I patched overalls & sewed some then went over to Kate's a while. Mildred & Helen went to the show.

I put up 8 qts of peaches & went down to Grandma Schnarr's. I patched some things for Kate & went over to Mrs. Kelly's. I fixed her slacks for her. Milt went on graveyard shift tonite. I scrubbed the dining room.

It was raining when we got up. We had to move the table. Milt & the boys went up on the hill to school. I put up 11 qts. of pickled peaches & 9 qts fresh peaches.

Mildred & Neil went to Sunday School. Gene & Bob went after elderberries. I put up 15 qts. of juice. Mrs. Bennett came up this morning.

We sure had lots of company today. 2 boys, one from Gene's camp. Then Edwin, Walter, Dr. Winkle, Maggie & Kate. Then Lucile came & last Vernon Eddy. He ate supper with us. Gene, Mildred, & Lucile went to Grace's. I put up 22 qts of elderberries.

I put up elderberries & juice & washed out Roger's clothes. Gene went up to rustle, but didn't get a job. We watched the eclipse of the moon. Lucile came up from Grace's We got 4 boxes of plums from Fred Bergman.

I put up elderberry juice & plums. Then I washed Roger's clothes & pieced a quilt top. Vernon came down this evening. Neil went home with him.

We ironed and Mildred made jelly & I put up 7 1/2 qts of plums. Bob got me some jars. I went down to Grandma Schnarr's again & she gave me some little jars. Willie Mae & Buck came over and I sang "Just in the same old way."

Eudora came about 8:45 for me to go teaching with her. She helped me finish the dishes, the I got Mary ready & we went. We visited Mrs. Ferrin, Ruth Skidmore, Mrs. Montgomery, Phyllis, Thelma, Mrs. Sego, & Mrs. Taylor (7 visits in all!!), then Eudora brot me home & I fixed dinner for Louis. I put up 4 quarts of applesauce & patched 3 pair of overalls. Milt came by & drank a glass of cold buttermilk. I went to my first football game tonite. Cottonwood played Kingman & lost 26-6. Dale got hurt & they took him to the hospital.

I ironed for about 2 1/2 hours, then I picked over wild grapes till dinner time. Louis didn't come home for lunch till 12:45. Leon didn't go to school today. After lunch I cooked the grapes and put up 5 quarts of grape juice. Neil came home from Salt Lake City just before the kids got home from school. The boys went up to football practice tonite & Louis went to a fireman's meeting.
