Friday, August 2, 1935

I helped Helen do Kate's washing, then I washed for Mrs. Tucker. The girls did most of the ironing then went up town.  They ate supper with Vernon & Gladys & Otto. Milt & I went over to Leland & Margaret's this evening.

Sunday, August 4, 1935

Mildred, Lucile & the 4 boys went to S. S. & Church. Otto, Vernon & Gladys came down this afternoon. Neil went down to Grace's after church. We had roast and sweet potatoes for dinner.

Monday, July 8, 1935

Gene & Bob went down to the lake today. I washed then we sprinkled the clothes. Mildred, Gene & Bob went to the show. Bob took Marian. I patched overalls all evening. Otto came down about 10 o'clock.

Sunday, July 21, 1935

Milt, Mildred, Phil, Lassie & Pauline went to S.S. Bob has been sick all day. Willie Mae came over awhile. We had a hard rain. Otto & Vernon came down & we had cake & cocoa & coffee.

Friday, July 26, 1935

We didn't have breakfast til about 11 o'clock. Then we washed and sprinkled the clothes. Lucile came up with Maggie & Ern. Vernon and Otto came down. I worked out in the yard.

Sunday, July 28, 1935

The girls went to the picnic with Maggie. Vernon came down & we made ice cream & I made a cake. Otto came down then Gladys & the baby came & they all went up town. I went up to see Mrs. Pernia, a car went over the grade just above Hera's house. A lady was hurt. Ern took her to the hospital.

Wednesday, June 12, 1935

I washed for Mrs. Tarr & got thru about 9 then got breakfast. After I cleaned up the house I ironed & crocheted a while. I finished Mildred's tam?? Otto came down this evening.

Thursday, June 13, 1935

I got up about 6 o'clock & started breakfast. Otto came & ate breakfast with us then he, Milt & the boys went to the lake to fish. Milt caught a Bass, 15 in. long, 1 3/4 lbs. Bob brot it home. Ern took their beds down & they're staying at the lake tonight.

Friday, June 14, 1935

Neil & Phil came home early & Ern went after Bob & Milt. I didn't go to Kate's shower but sent Lucile up with the pkg. Otto came down this evening (he came home about noon). They caught about 22 fish.

Sunday, June 16, 1935

Lucile went to church, & I went down to Mrs. Tarr's & cleaned up the house. Mildred got thru up at Mrs. Attchery's & came home early. We had roast for dinner. Otto went by & threw the funnies to Phil, he went fishing.

Tuesday, June 18, 1935

I washed for Mrs. Tarr & then Kate washed & I helped her. I sewed a while this evening & went down to see Grandma Schnarr. Otto came down this evening & brot his laundry.

Saturday, May 4, 1935

We washed and ironed and I patched. Milt went on day shift today.  Otto came down this evening & brot a letter from Nell.

Tuesday, May 7, 1935

We washed and the girls did part of the ironing and I patched.  Otto came down this evening and he and Milt drank a mint julep. I've had an awful back ache all day and sure feel ornery.

Thursday, May 9, 1935

Kate, Mildred & Lucile hiked over to Oak Creek and back. I started to make my dress and got it nearly done. Mrs. Stevens & Mrs. Suheck came for Lucile. Otto got hurt last night & is at the _____ hospital. Milt went up to see him.

Saturday, May 11, 1935

I got up early and got ready to wash. We got thru about 11:30. Milt slept up at Otto's til about 2 o'clock. We ironed, then got supper. Mildred's boy friend came to take her to the show.

Monday, May 13, 1935

Milt went by the hospital to see Otto. Then he & Bob & Neil went to the lake to fish. I patched a while & went down to Grandma Schnarr's, then fixed her dress for her. The girls went to the show.

Thursday, May 16, 1935

Milt & I walked up town & over to see Otto.  The wind sure did blow hard. Otto got a letter from Zella. We came home & got supper & after supper John & Ruby & the kids came up.

Monday, May 20, 1935

The R.F.C. began to work on our road this a.m. Milt watered the flowers & grass. I make Tiny & Pauline each a dress, & wrote to Mama. Lucile & Mildred went up to see Otto. We just heard about Mrs. Chapman's death.

Sunday, May 26, 1935

Lucile went down to work for Mrs. Tarr. Mildred, Lassie, Pauline & the boys went to S.S. Otto came down & said he was going up to Winslow tomorrow. I went down to Mrs. Tarr's this evening.

Friday, April 5, 1935

Roger slept good & so did I. I got up at 6 & took a good hot bath & got ready for breakfast. Mildred, & Lucile came up & I went down town with Lucile. Mrs. Jones went home today I sure miss her. Otto came & then Milt. He stayed till 10:30.
