Monday, May 20, 1935

The R.F.C. began to work on our road this a.m. Milt watered the flowers & grass. I make Tiny & Pauline each a dress, & wrote to Mama. Lucile & Mildred went up to see Otto. We just heard about Mrs. Chapman's death.

Saturday, May 25, 1935

As soon as Milt went to work I got ready to wash. Neil helped me. I got thru at 9 o'clock then Kate washed & I helped her. Mrs. Bennett came up & I trimmed her hair. We set out some primroses this evening.

Tuesday, April 23, 1935

Mildred got ready to wash about 8:30 and we sure had a big washing. Lucile took care of Kate's children. Mrs. Bennett came by & gave me some pansy slips & I planted them. I sprinkled the clothes.

Thursday, April 25, 1935

Lucile & Mildred went up town. I sewed & patched overalls. I planted some "4 o'clocks" & watered the flower garden.

Tuesday, April 30, 1935

After we cleaned up the house I worked out in the garden with Milt, then we went down the road and got a mescal. I planted some zinnias this evening.

Wednesday, March 13, 1935

Milt worked on the chicken fence & I fixed a place & planted some clematis & balsams. Bob got his papers & went to sell them. Mildred fainted this a.m. when she pricked her sore thumb.

Saturday, March 16, 1935

The girls cleaned up the house while I worked outside. I planted some more flowers. Milt went to work on afternoon shift. After he left we ironed & I patched. I made the little girls each a petticoat.

Sunday, March 17, 1935

No one except Mildred & Lucile went to S.S. Milt made a flower bed & planted some nasturtiums. Otto came down & brot his laundry. Gene went back to camp. I went down to see Grandma Schnarr & ate lunch with her. Isaac brot his mandolin down & I played it a while.

Monday, March 18, 1935

Kate came over & washed. I worked out in the flower garden a while. The girls cleaned up the house & then ironed.

Thursday, March 21, 1935

It has been cold nearly all day, I worked in the flower yard. Today is Rosalie's birthday. I made a cake for her. Milt went out and set 12 traps. Mildred went up town & send off the furs.

Friday, March 22, 1935

I worked in the garden all day. Milt made a chain for Roger. Kate came over & sewed. I planted some flowers in a star & a heart.
