Tuesday, July 2, 1935
We washed & were nearly thru when the power went off. I finished the washing by hand & I've sure got a lame back this evening. Kate came over & sewed a while.
Wednesday, July 3, 1935
I ironed while Mildred, Gene & Bob were out at Oak Creek. They went swimming at the ranch. Milt ordered some groceries. We had elderberry dumplings. The berries were off our tree. I made 2 cakes.
Thursday, July 4, 1935
We have stayed home all day, ate watermelon & made ice cream. The kids went up town to watch the sports. This evening Milt & I went up to the show & danced awhile, then came home about 11 o'clock. Gene & Neil went to the lake.
Friday, July 5, 1935
I scrubbed the floor then washed & when I got thru Tiny & I walked up to the White Store & ordered some groceries. Mr. Hayes brot them down this evening. Milt & Bob went to the lake & they came home with Ern.

Sunday, July 7, 1935
Mildred & Neil went to Sunday School. Gene & Bob went after elderberries. I put up 15 qts. of juice. Mrs. Bennett came up this morning.

Monday, July 8, 1935
Gene & Bob went down to the lake today. I washed then we sprinkled the clothes. Mildred, Gene & Bob went to the show. Bob took Marian. I patched overalls all evening. Otto came down about 10 o'clock.
Tuesday, July 9, 1935
We ironed & then went down to see Grandma Schnarr. I stayed & visited with her about 2 hrs. & ate lunch with her. We got a letter from Reen & Chet. Bob got the phonograph fixed. Milt fixed the big water jar.

Wednesday, July 10, 1935
I've been patching overalls. Mildred made a cake. Gene went up to try & get a job. Then he and Bob went to the lake. Velma brot her saxophone over & we played awhile. Zelda came too.
Thursday, July 11, 1935
Neil & Milt went to the lake to fish. Gene went up to the 500. Then he, Bob & Mildred went to the lake. They got home about dark, with 23 fish & a lot of golf balls.
Friday, July 12, 1935
We didn't get up very early & had breakfast about 10 o'clock. Gene went to rustle a job. Milt & the kids fixed them a "golf outfit" & have played all day. We washed and sprinkled the clothes. Gene helped me. Milt took his bed over to the tunnel & slept till supper time.

We sure had lots of company today. 2 boys, one from Gene's camp. Then Edwin, Walter, Dr. Winkle, Maggie & Kate. Then Lucile came & last Vernon Eddy. He ate supper with us. Gene, Mildred, & Lucile went to Grace's. I put up 22 qts of elderberries.

Sunday, July 14, 1935
Mildred, Lucile, Milt & Neil went to S.S. Lucile went down to Grace's after church. I took a shower bath & let the little girls have one too. Then got dinner. Milt went over to the tunnel to sleep. Packards came down this evening.
Monday, July 15, 1935
I put up elderberries & juice & washed out Roger's clothes. Gene went up to rustle, but didn't get a job. We watched the eclipse of the moon. Lucile came up from Grace's We got 4 boxes of plums from Fred Bergman.

I put up elderberry juice & plums. Then I washed Roger's clothes & pieced a quilt top. Vernon came down this evening. Neil went home with him.
Friday, July 19, 1935
Lucile & Mildred went down to Grace's. I patched & sewed some. Milt & the 3 boys went to the lake. this evening Vernon came down & brot some weenies, buns, marshmallows & beer. Oh boy what a feed we had.
Saturday, June 20, 1935
After Gene went to work I got ready to wash. I was almost finished when we had breakfast. I had to iron Milt's shirts so he could wear it to work so we ironed nearly all the clothes. I make a cake for Loreen's birthday hoping she'll come down. We killed the rooster. Willie Mae & Buck came.

Milt, Mildred, Phil, Lassie & Pauline went to S.S. Bob has been sick all day. Willie Mae came over awhile. We had a hard rain. Otto & Vernon came down & we had cake & cocoa & coffee.
