Monday, September 23, 1935
Kate washed over here today. I sewed, then washed out Roger's clothes. I made 3 quarts of peach preserves. Bob quit school, and went to Camp Verde.

We washed Roger's clothes and a few others. I made Melba a new dress all except the buttons and button holes. Kate washed over here.

I put up 7 1/2 quarts of peaches today. I washed Roger's clothes and a few others so I won't have so many tomorrow. Milt went up and got his check and bought some groceries and things.
Sunday, September 1, 1935
Everyone except Don, Roger & I went to S.S.. Milt drove Ern's car. I made hamburger stew & rice pudding. The girls went up to see Gladys. I went down to Bennett's & boy how it did rain. This evening I went down to see Grandma Schnarr.

Tuesday, August 13, 1935
I washed Roger's clothes & a few others. then went up to help Mrs. Tucker. I put up 16 qts. of plums for her & ate lunch then came home. Miller's brot us 4 bags of peaches.

I put up elderberries & juice & washed out Roger's clothes. Gene went up to rustle, but didn't get a job. We watched the eclipse of the moon. Lucile came up from Grace's We got 4 boxes of plums from Fred Bergman.

I put up elderberry juice & plums. Then I washed Roger's clothes & pieced a quilt top. Vernon came down this evening. Neil went home with him.

I made a cake for baby Lee's birthday & the kids went over there for a party. I took Roger over awhile. Bob worked for Mrs. Weart. Just as we got home it began to rain & oh boy what a rain.

Tuesday, June 4, 1935
Roget doesn't feel very well this a.m. He sure had a fever all night. We washed today & had a big washing. Milt is trying to sleep. He is on graveyard & didn't get much sleep today.
Wednesday, June 5, 1935
Mildred ironed & I tended Roger most of the day. He sure feels bad. I patched a few things & made a ________ for Mildred. Milt & I went down the creek to find some tomato plants. We didn't find any.
Thursday, June 6, 1935
We had breakfast late, then Milt and I walked up town and bought some groceries. He sent for 50 baby chicks and also for some plants. We've just got thru with supper, and I am tired. Roger feels better.
Friday, June 7, 1935
Roger didn't sleep much all night. He was sure hot & he is awfully cranky today. Milt & I took him to the hospital & his temperature was 105. Milt & the boys & 3 little girls went to the lake with Ern.
Monday, June 10, 1935
Kate washed over here today. I helped her some & sewed awhile. I went over to Mrs. Kelly's this evening & Lucille brot Roger over to me. I went down to Mrs. Tarr's today.

I washed Roger's clothes & then I sewed & patched. Bob & Neil went out to Oak Creek. They brot some wild grapes & a few currants. Got a letter from Reen.

Monday, April 1, 1935
Roger is better this a.m. Milt came by from work. Sister Wells came & stayed all afternoon. Ern brot a letter from Loreen. Kate & Mildred came then Lucile & Milt. Roger's temperature is down a little this evening.
Tuesday, April 2, 1935
Been here a week today. I moved into room 26 this a.m. & boy am I glad. Roger is better. His temperature is 99.6. Lucile, Mildred, & Don came up this a.m. Sister Wells came & stayed with Roger while I went down with Mrs. Jones & got supper for her husband.

Roger didn't sleep very much. I was up & down all night. This a.m. Scottie Harvey was killed by the elevator. Mrs. Jones & I went down to the P.O. Ruby came then Sister Wells. She brot me cloth & I made Roger some pajamas. Milt came up and stayed til 10:30.

Oh what a restless night we had. I didn't sleep but about 15 min. at a time. Roger's temperature is down again. Lucile & Mildred came up & stayed while I went down home. I washed a few things & got dinner for Milt & myself then walked back up the hill. Mildred got a letter from Loreen.
